Clubhouse Improvements

We apologise for any inconvenience while the club house is repaired following the burst pipes at New Year. There will also be alterations internally with the creation of a room from where refreshments can be served. We also intend to remove the lockers from the clubhouse and place them in a locked shed outside. The shed will also be used as a store as the club house lacks ample storage space. This will enable us to create a cleaner, more spacious locker room with bench seats round the walls. We will be in touch with all locker holders shortly to advise of the changes and when they will need to temporarily remove their clubs during the refurbishment.

Insurance

Members are reminded that Tarbat Golf Club can accept no responsibility for any damage or injury caused by members or visitors playing on the golf course. We recommend that suitable insurance cover is taken out which covers for liability from damage to property or injury caused to third parties.

1st Fairway

Parts of the first fairway are still Ground under Repair (GUR), please ensure that you check before you play, especially at the end of the hole which has been recently filled in.

Winter League Results

The Winter League is finished and incredibly we have a three way tie for first!! Harry Corbett who had led for quite a while was caught on the last day by Charlie Urquhart and Hamish Mackay who had made a late run. Well done to all three!

New Rules for use of Drivers

The Management Committee have decided (following guidance from SGU) not to proactively check individual players to see if their driver is illegal or not. However if a player suspects that someone they are playing with or against has an illegal driver they can query this with the individual. If the club is removed prior to play then no penalties will be incurred, however if a competition is played with the illegal club this will result in disqualification from that competition. If you are unsure if your driver conforms or not please ask Stuart McDonald, Club Captain, or if you have a query after a match/competition please contact Les Wilson, Match Secretary who will investigate and decide on ruling.
