Tarbat Golf Club

Tarbat Golf Club is over 100 years old and celebrated it's centenary in 2009. It sits in the beautiful little seaside resort of Pormahomack. Only 10 minutes from the main A9 near Tain in Ross-Shire it is the only nine links course in the area.

Overlooking the Dornoch and Moray Firths stunning views can be had whilst enjoying links golf at its best. It is an ideal complement to the better known courses of Tain and Dornoch at extremely reasonable rates.

The Portmahomack area enjoys one of the lowest rainfalls in Scotland and it is common to watch showers in the distance over the firth pass by the area.

Although only 5295 yards in length for the 2 x nine holes, with cleverly placed bunkers, elevated greens and undulating fairways a good test of golf can be enjoyed. A very reasonable weekly ticket can be purchased and visitors can enjoy their golf throughout their holiday. As Portmahomack is the only Westerly facing village on the East coast nine holes in either the morning or evening stunning sun rises or sunsets are plentiful during the summer months. Many visitors enjoy 9 or 18 holes of golf and then take a break in the Tee Up café with home made soups and baking along with freshly brewed coffee.

Then it’s back to the course for a few more enjoyable holes of golf.
